About Me: Bio

My name is Casey Smerczynski, and I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2020, where I studied Studio Art, Film, and Geography. During my time there, I played on the Division I Dartmouth Women’s Rugby team and contributed cartoons to "The Dartmouth" newspaper.

After graduation, I published a children’s book on Kindle and worked at Amazon for nearly a year. I then moved to California to pursue film and acting opportunities, returning to the East Coast after wrapping a pilot in May 2021.

I’ve worked as an actor and production assistant for Discovery+, HBO, Warner Bros, and Disney. I also spent a few months in NYC as a Broadway costume design assistant and as a freelance illustrator and film editor. In 2023, I enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Medic.

From there, I began my dual career in the medical-military sector as an Army Reservist and Emergency Department Technician, as well as in film at Harvard University's Brattle Square Studios. In my spare time, I’m illustrating a children’s book that explores the perspectives of young female athletes.

I find joy in creating with friends, whether it’s writing, acting, drawing, enjoying the outdoors, or helping others.
